ECS Tuning Aluminium Street Shield Skid Plate With Reinforcement Kit - Golf MK7 / MK7.5

Protect your vitals with our ECS Tuning in-house engineered Aluminium Street Shield Skid Plate with Reinforcement Kit. Constructed from 3/16" (4.76mm) thick 5052 aluminium and 1.25" DOM tubing vertical braces and weighing in at only 24 lbs total, with factory modelled air ventilation, our skid plate and reinforcement bars are sure to stand up to extreme road conditions that your OEM plastic belly pan could not.

Additionally, the ECS skid plate encompasses the full length of the engine undercarriage from the front bumper cover to the front engine subframe to provide complete protection. Conveniently this kit includes zinc-coated steel subframe hardware, aluminium skid plate spacers and all factory mounting hardware for easy installation.

The Street Shield Reinforcement Kit bolts directly to the back of the crash beam and then directly to the ECS Street Shield Skid Plate for all metal mounting points. No drilling, no cutting required, just simple direct-fit, rugged protection!

 

PART DESIGN

Street Shield Reinforcement Kit:

• Vertical supports feature beefy 1.25” DOM tubing with .095” wall thickness

• Extra support provided by a front impact brace with 1.0” DOM tubing with .095” wall thickness

• All joints are professionally TIG welded and black powder coated for corrosion protection 

• Made to be structurally rigid in the event of impacts to not bend or deflect

Street Shield Skid Plate:

• 3/16" (4.76mm) thick 5052 CNC-bent aluminium 

• Features OEM-modelled air ventilation slots 

• Full front body protection (bumper to subframe)
