ECS Tuning Steering Wheel Hub Overlay - Black Carbon Fibre - MK5 Polo

Looking to spice up your interior? Our ECS Tuning Carbon Fiber Steering Wheel Hub Overlay drastically improves your interior with race-inspired carbon fiber material! Our in-house designed and engineered overlay covers the trim on the steering hub, from the switches to the lower emblem and remains in place with automotive-grade 3M tape. Installation is accomplished within minutes and does NOT require removal of the airbag. 

 

PART DESIGN

• Made from lightweight, hand-laid carbon fiber material with pre-impregnated 2x2 twill weave carbon fiber cloth and epoxy resin, then autoclave cured and finished in a durable gloss clear coat for UV and heat protection for continuous operating temperatures of up to 300° F.

• 3D laser scanned OEM steering wheel to ensure optimal fitment

• Designed to cover the trim on steering hub for optimal coverage 

• Emblem cutout to display "GTI", "R" or "GTD" logo 

• Pre-installed automotive 3M double-sided adhesive to make installation a breeze

• Minimal carbon fiber material thickness to offer the least amount of intrusion.

• Our ECS Carbon Fiber Steering Wheel Hub Overlay was designed, engineered, tested and quality inspected by our Research and Development team in our Wadsworth, Ohio facility. We strive for the highest level of precision and quality through leading-edge product development technology including FARO laser scanning for reverse engineering and quality inspection, SolidWorks 3D CAD modeling, rapid prototyping utilizing our in-house 3D printer, and rigorous long term product testing.

 

INSTALLATION AND SUPPORT

• We recommend cleaning the steering hub with isopropyl alcohol prior to installation. 1 packet - ES2918127 

• Please be advised that this part is a hand-trimmed, carbon overlay. Details of product fitment can be observed in our installation photography. This part will rest above the steering wheel hub and some discernable rise off of the hub may be observed.
